about

[ Victoria Peart ]

Oh, hey! Glad you're here.

I'm a full stack developer based in West Kelowna, BC. I've always had a huge love for art, books, animals and nature. Growing up, I was torn between wanting to be an artist, author or veterinarian. Ultimately my winding path and growing interest in technology and design has led to my career as a developer.

I really enjoy projects that allow me to use my creativity to come up with cool designs or to improve the user experience of a product. I’ve been working remotely for creator.co with a small and scrappy dev team since 2021, and have many such projects under my belt. My coworkers call me the UX Queen. 👑

When I’m not coding, I’m usually playing games, reading, or NetFlix & chilling with my hubby and two cats. I also try to go hiking whenever the weather allows to enjoy the beautiful, natural landscape around us here in Kelowna!

Creator

Full Stack Developer & Lead UX/UI Engineer

June 2021 to present • Full-time

I'm currently working at creator.co, where we aim to be the top platform for social media influencers to connect and collaborate with brands.

My responsibilities and accomplishments include building and maintaining our React dashboards, implementing new features, UX/UI design updates, API integration, and bug resolution.

On the creator.co platform, brands can build campaigns for social channels such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, recruit influencers using an advanced search system (or leverage our team of Campaign Specialists), and view real-time analytics on their campaigns and influencer performance.

Creators can connect their social accounts, browse hundreds of collaboration opportunities, and filter campaigns based on their social stats or other personal information. Once opted in, they can view and manage their campaigns via their account dashboard and communicate with the brands through our messaging system.

Responsiveness, Accessibility, & Style

There are so many ways to be a great developer! These are some of the most important things I focus on when I code.

responsiveness

Responsiveness

You never know what kind of device your clients are using, so it's important to be sure your website or app is optimized for a myriad of screen sizes and browsers.

assessibility

Accessibility

People come in all shapes and sizes. In order to provide the best experience for everyone, technology should strive to meet the needs of its users.

style

Style

They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but let's be real - most people do. There's nothing wrong with using a bit of flair to set your app apart.
